There's NO Excuse For Bad Coffee!!!
Bean Abusers
You know who you are….and if not, you will soon.

Pre-grinders:
Do you grind your bag of beans at the grocery store?
Do you put them in your fancy machine that grinds the beans for you?
Do you grind them and store them in a plastic container?
Do you buy pre-ground coffee?

If you answer “yes” to any of the above, you are a Bean Abuser.

Fridge and Freezer storage:
Do you store your beans in the fridge or freezer?
Do you really think this keeps them fresher?

If so, you are a Bean Abuser.

Five-pound bag purchasers:
Do you Buy Coffee in Huge Five pound bags?
Do you buy it in a can?

If so, you are a bean abuser.

Redemption Rules:
The good news is there is hope for you.
Follow these simple steps to redeem yourself
.

1) Only buy what you will use in 7-10 days. If you drink 5lbs. in 7-10 days, more power to you. But you should still have fresh coffee. That can only come from a roaster bag.

2) Only buy beans from a  roaster.   Make sure the beans are in a one-way-degassing valve bag.  This allows the gasses to get out, without letting oxygen in.   Oxygen is the worst thing for your beans. This will guarantee freshness.  You won’t find this in a grocery store.

3) Store your coffee in a cupboard at room temperature IN the one-way-degassing valve bag. If you insist on using your cute ceramic dish–leave the coffee in the bag. Put the bag in the dish. Coffee stored in the fridge or freezer will absorb moisture and other oders. Rember that smoked salmon you had last night?...thats right, you get the picture–smoked salmon coffee. Euwww.

4) Very important—grind just before you brew.  This means seconds, not the night before.  Coffee deteriorates seconds after grinding and letting it sit makes it worse.

If you’re spending $9-10 for a bag of beans, get the most out it.  Otherwise, buy that crap in a can.   It’s the same thing.

And whatever you do—do NOT buy flavored coffee.  It’s a disgrace.   That flavoring comes in a hazardous materials box and must be SPRAYED on to coffee beans.  That’s disgusting.   Don’t do it.  If you must have Vanilla or Hazelnut in your coffee, buy a syrup.
