This is our way of giving back to the community by supporting the kids whose families support us

That's right - get those kids out there selling coffee. The good news is that they get to keep up to half the money for their class, school, sports team, club, whatever they want. Yes, it's true! Yes, it's generous. And yes, we like kids. Education is important and we want to support the local kids whose parents support us.  And if you don't come in to Capitola Coffee Roasters, maybe you will now. We'd love to see you.
 
How does it work?
Easy - we agree on a 2-week period of time for the fundraiser to begin and end. This is important to me
so you sell as much as possible and I meet the target date. We all work better with deadlines, kids are
no different. Ok, so once that's set, we each sign a "Letter of Engagement" that spells out the rules. Each student has his/her own order form and as they sell coffee they fill it out and collect money. Once the 2 weeks is up, the teacher or person in charge collects the money and order forms and counts it. Make sure it's right, then bring the order forms and money to us. 
 
We will then (and only then) roast and bag your coffee. It'll be bagged and separated by student so they can deliver to their customers. We will attach a copy of the original order form so they know who gets the coffee. It's that simple.
